Empowering Commercial Space: RONGSU Supports Core Component Manufacturing for Lingkong Tianxing

At the end of 2024, Sichuan Lingkong Tianxing Technology Co., Ltd. announced the successful test flight of the "JINDOUYUN" high-speed ramjet engine (code-named "JINDOU400"). The engine delivers a thrust of 400 kg and can achieve Mach 4 at altitudes above 20 km. Utilizing detonation combustion technology, it holds significant commercial potential for near-space high-speed flight.

The successful test flight not only validated the engine's stability and reliability but also marked the transition of this engine series from a concept prototype to productization, laying a solid foundation for the development of the "Yunxing" series of supersonic aircraft. This achievement provides a technical basis for large-scale production and application of supersonic aircraft, potentially transforming the way people travel in the future, and represents a major milestone for commercial space development.

During the engine's development, Lingkong Tianxing made extensive use of 3D printing technology. In recent years, metal 3D printing has advanced rapidly, showing remarkable advantages in processing large, structurally complex, and high-temperature-resistant aerospace components, injecting new momentum into the development and iteration of aerospace parts.

As a domestic leader in DED wire additive manufacturing, RONGSU supported Lingkong Tianxing by applying arc wire additive technology (WAAM) to produce key aerospace components. This approach significantly shortened production cycles, reduced costs, and improved development efficiency.

Aerospace components have strict quality and performance requirements, and traditional machining struggles to maintain precise control over shapes, resulting in high costs and inconsistent quality. RONGSU's WAAM technology offers high wire utilization, high deposition efficiency, and large build volume, providing clear advantages in ensuring part quality and performance while boosting manufacturing efficiency.

In recent years, China's commercial space industry has made continuous breakthroughs, and the impact of metal 3D printing in this sector has deepened steadily. Moving forward, RONGSU will continue to actively address the needs of commercial aerospace customers, drive efficiency through innovation, and strengthen collaboration with commercial space users, fully empowering the industry to explore further and deeper frontiers.
